This was RJ's first Christmas. Santa was good to him: a Vermont Teddy Bear, a Baby Einstein chair, an Eagles sweatsuit, and much more. I am a lucky woman to have spent Xmas (and every other day) with my boys. Wishing all of you the happiest of holidays and an even more joyous future. &hearts

On a less important note, this blog is now over a year old. Thank you to all of my readers for supporting (and hopefully enjoying) Halcoholic. Much love to all of you.

Congratulations to j_balson28@hotmail.com for winning the L.S.D. BALANCE earring giveaway! Lotte will be contacting you ASAP for your shipping info.

Much thanks to L.S.D. for making this giveaway possible, and thank you to everyone who participated.

I will be hosting another giveaway in the very remote future, so keep your eyes peeled! &hearts

Horace sweater overtop Rick Owens cropped cardigan & Obesity and Speed "Stay Sick" tank top, Chanel lucite heel silver & black leather booties, Chris Habana hinged cage ring, "the prophet" oxidized brass owl claw pendant courtesy of Blood Milk, Mandy Coon leather bunny bag.

I love this ridiculously destroyed, loosely-knit Horace sweater ... the "knit" is basically just like looped, thin yarn with a shit-ton of hanging pieces. Lots of things get caught in the knit (rings, jacket buttons, my son just grabbing a string and pulling), and that makes it look even better IMHO. Layered over my Rick Owens cardigan, it was surprisingly warm today in the freezing weather the Philadelphia area has been experiencing recently.

With the gray in the sweater, it was obvious I needed to pair it with my silver & black Chanel booties. God, I adore these shoes. AH-DOOR. Thank you, Jayne!

I was so stoked when I found this Chris Habana hinged cage ring on I Don't Like Mondays. They had one left, and I had to have it. I've admired Habana's work for awhile now after seeing an amazing necklace styled by Zana Bayne. This piece is actually very easy to wear due to the hinges. My husband thinks this ring is completely ridiculous -- he calls it my "Hellraiser ring." Considering Hellraiser is in my top three favorite horror movies of all time (a very close second to Videodrome), I take this entirely as a compliment.

Can you sense I have a sterling silver/crazy jewelry fetish? Obviously. Speaking of which, look below and enter to win a pair of amazing asymmetrical cross earrings by L.S.D.

What are you wishing for under your tree? We're getting ours tomorrow.

Awesome news, ladies and dudes: Lotte Burkhart, the artist behind Little Sister Designs (L.S.D.), has generously offered a pair of these incredibly badass BALANCE earrings (valued at $70) to one lucky-ass Halcoholic reader. These mis-matched, beautifully designed crosses (one right side up, the other inverted) are hand-sawed from sterling silver and have been oxidized to a gunmetal finish.

"The balance of good and evil has been discussed and told in stories for thousands of years. With these earrings you don't have to choose if you want to be good or evil, as you are wearing a balance of both: the upside down cross is known to be evil, where as the cross is holy and a symbol of goodness. Or if you are feeling a little naughty or nice why not go asymmetrical and just wear one!"

Like most L.S.D. creations, these are intrinsically bizarre in just the right way. Love them? Here is how to enter for a chance to win:

1. You must be a follower of both Halcoholic and L.S.D. on either Bloglovin' or Google Friend Connect.
