Death/Traitors tank top, Levi's cutoffs, Demonia suede creepers, 2-tone bag c/o VOW, vintage leopard print blouse c/o Factory Handbook. Turquoise necklace, turquoise bracelet, & triple stack ring c/o Vanessa Mooney. Jaw bone necklace c/o Iconoclast; vintage sterling rings, L.S.D. tooth ring, & Bless leather bracelet (right hand), talon earring c/o Blood Milk.

Just discovered Death/Traitors -- awesome shit. It reminds me of listening to Gauze in my bedroom 10 years ago, in the summer, with no a/c. And wearing some white creepers that I splattered with red paint to look like blood. I stupidly sold those creepers a long time ago. These suede Demonias have been my staple kicks for the duration of the summer. I thought my new duo-tone VOW tote bag was sufficiently matchy-matchy. VOW haven't made this red/black shopper available online yet, but I'm told they'll be on there soon alongside the sleek all black and all red versions. Expect to see both labels' sick streetwear styled on here with great freak-uency.

I've received a lot of jewelry from a lot of incredible designers in the past several months, but raising a little boy who is just entering his terrible (still adorable, but emphasis on terrible) twos leaves nil room for ultra cool, yet cumbersome statement pieces. Imagine my relief when I opened a package c/o Vanessa Mooney last week, which was stuffed with the designers' practical, yet stand-out creations. Mooney manages to offer pieces that are both on-trend, timeless, and no-matter-what wearable -- something that is almost impossible to find in the contemporary accessories market. Beyond the lovely craftsmanship made evident by pain-staking detail, down to etching on the band of a sterling ring or beadwork on a striking turqoiuse and brass cuff, you'll find that every piece in VM's newest collection is within a totally reasonable price bracket. The bracelet I'm wearing in these photos is now on my husband's wrist, and he normally snubs anything that is not solid sterling (he loves it so much that if I ever want it back, I'll have to take it when he's sound asleep). Bravo, Ms. Mooney.

More soon! x

Cephalobong t-shirt and Aggressor studded jacket by Käärme, DIY cutoffs, BOYY Slash bag, Hellraiser shoes courtesy of UNIF, Nosferatu necklace and Victorious Vertebrae ring courtesy of L.S.D., large gemstone rings courtesy of Hard Candy Gems, Bless leather snap bracelets, cheap-o oversized shades.

First off, I have lovely Christine to thank for these amazing shoes. If you're looking for a flat that isn't your run of the mill boring ballerina flat, look no further. UNIF's Hellraisers are the ultimate loafer - comfortable, well-made, and eye-catching for sure. They also come in pink, fyi. You need these shoes. Secondly, I have worn a piece from Hard Candy Gems on here before, but how amazing is the huge green ring? The artist responsible for HCG meticulously wraps these huge gemstones in sterling wire (you can also opt for gold or copper), so the price points are very reasonable. The shop mainly consists of huge statement rings in every color you can imagine, but there is a decent selection of necklaces and earrings as well -- I'll share the rest of my goodies from this shop in a future post. Buyers beware, you will spend hours on Hard Candy's shop drooling over all the amazing statement pieces. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The Aggressor jacket is a piece from our a/w '11 collection and it will be available to purchase next month. I like this piece because it is a moto jacket, but it is made of a lightweight denim, so it's a nice multi-seasonal jacket. I like to wear mine with a hoodie underneath for extra warmth, or just wear it open like here, when the weather is in the mid-60s or so.

We're really glad everyone is digging the new Käärme stuff and thank you for your continued support .. for those of you who picked up an Omen shirt, we'll have another shirt available this weekend that you will appreciate for sure, along with a new piece of jewelry that has been in the works for what seems like forever. Cephalobong was brought to us by the same incredible artist who helped design Snakerider; I really love this shirt. Since the print is a discharge print, it is a nice beige color rather than stark white. And the squid's eyes crack me up. Matt Ferri, you never fail us.
Annnnnd ... the winner of the Snakerider t-shirt giveaway is kaleigh brown (elektrodot@gmail.com). Congrats, we'll be emailing you soon. Snakerider is just about extinct now, so enjoy! &hearts

Topshop skirt, Rick Owens boots, vintage plaid button-up, vintage Kreator shirt, Karen Walker "Righteous" sunglasses, Juicy Couture trapper hat, Boyy Slash bag.

Leather strap bracelets by Bless, sterling unisex eagle ring courtesy of Alberto Juan, talon ring courtesy of Leviticus. I need a fill-in badly! The Bless bracelets are too cool-- the one with the colored letters is 3-D! From Ooga Booga.

I love these shades by New Zealand designer Karen Walker ... I had seen them on a local girl (weirdly enough) and then again on Rumi, and I thought they looked so neat and unusual. For some reason I always have to take glasses with those nose pads to be adjusted.

The Topshop skirt is actually a maxi that I have hiked up over my ta-tas. I never iron maxi skirts, I just really like the way they look all wrinkled.

Squirrels are abundant around here, and they always eat the pumpkins. Have a good Sunday afternoon. &hearts
