DAY OF RECKONING

Ann-Sofie Back "Drip" shades, Pentagram tour shirt, American Apparel leggings, Miu Miu halter clogs, Comme des Garcons red silk hobo bag, leopard print scarf (?)

Junk pile: (rings L to R, top photo): gifted sterling antiqued eagle knuckle ring by AlbertoJuan, gifted sterling falcon skull ring by Blue Bayer, custom sterling "shield," Chanel sterling/ivory cocktail ring, matte black Margeila "engagement" ring, custom sterling/onyx ring, gifted black gold/sterling talon ring by Leviticus. Bracelets: various custom sterling chains, custom sterling "squiggle" cuff by Donald Pywell. Necklace: Foti by Chrome Hearts, leather/sterling.

This Comme des Garcons bag I was originally going to sell because I don't carry it much, but lately it's come in handy when I need an unexpected addition of color to an otherwise monotone outfit. I love the cocoon shape and the black ruffles ... surprisingly, the satin material holds up beautifully while carrying my usual cornucopia of junk on a regular basis.

I wear these clogs every chance I get, even if I am in desperate need of a pedicure. They're so appropriately retro kitschy-cool, and even at over eight months pregnant, are still relatively comfortable.

More soon ... baby is ready to come out any day now, so we've been so busy getting his nursery together, etc. Thank you once again to all of your sweet emails and well-wishes. Your continued support means the world! &hearts

MANIC DEPRESSION

Vintage Hendrix Experience shirt, Zara denim cutoffs, Miu Miu halter clogs, Margiela canvas bag, various accessories.

I won this Forever 21 cross ring from Closet Obsessions ... since they're now going for like $100 on eBay and I missed out when F21 first started selling them, I was so stoked to win! Neighboring rings: Pamela Love cross, custom or vintage sterling silver designs; Ray Ban sunglasses.

Since Bobby (who is responsible for all of the photography on this blog) is on tour, JF graciously agreed to snap some photos for me at the park today. We had a lot of fun!

I really can't get enough of these Miu Mius. They're very comfortable and look so good with everything. I wore them the other day while visiting my mom, and her eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw what I was walking in while pregnant. I swear they're a breeze!

I really love this bag. That shade of teal is one of my favorites, and I dig the black airbrushed effect. It holds a lot of shit and the shoulder strap is really comfortable as well.

I got this super soft vintage shirt on the cheap from eBay ... I love the full color print, and obviously I love the Experience.

My new F21 cross ring, custom sterling silver wire skull ring, vintage onyx/sterling ring.

JF is one of the dearest, most special people in my life. We have been very close for about seven years. You don't find a lot of people in this world like Josh. Thank you JF for helping me out today. &hearts

I'll soon be hosting a giveaway for an incredible custom piece by Summer Adeline Jewelry, which normally retails at around $300. In the meantime, check out her site to get a little taste of what you're in for. Her creations are truly remarkable.

Have a fantastic evening. xo

DIE ON A ROPE

Topshop blazer, American Apparel t-shirt dress, Miu Miu platform halter clogs, Fendi sunglasses, gifted butterfly knife pendant from Blood Milk, vintage accessories.

I can't begin to describe how stoked I am on this necklace, not to mention Blood Milk's other creations. Unparalleled in their quality and uniqueness, J.L. Schnabel's designs will appeal to fans of Pamela Love and Chris Habana alike; however, with a penchant for the macabre, the supernatural, and the classically beautiful, Schnabel is in a category of her own. The detail on this butterfly knife necklace is outstanding. The knife is real and fully-functioning (razor-sharp blade and all), and like many other Blood Milk pieces, is oxidized to perfection. In addition to the heart-and-swords charm above the knife, there is a tiny religious pendant on the other end of the vintage brass chain that lays on the wearer's back. Little features like these affirm the obvious: this is a special piece, painstakingly crafted by a true artist.

You never have to worry about wearing a design you know is a beaten and dead horse, because Schnabel's creations exist in very limited quantities -- once they're gone, they're gone, and she moves onto something else amazing instead of rehashing the same thing again. Expect to see many more Blood Milk treasures featured on here in the near future.

About time I debuted these Miu clogs! They are worth the hype in every way: remarkably comfortable, sufficiently sky-high, and garner tons of compliments (while my husband and I were having ice cream out front, one passer-by remarked, "Those are fantastic, where in 1975 did you get them?!).

Don't let the towering wood heel on these beauties intimidate you -- the gargantuan platform compensates so you don't feel like you're on a ski slope. I love the rich camel hue .. unfortunately, I'm STILL in search of The Perfect Brown Bag.

The unsinkable Jas M.B. leather tote.

That's all for tonight ... be well. &hearts

SUMMERTIME BLUES

Summer is nigh, and even though it always saddens me to put my tall leather boots on hiatus, I'm looking forward to wearing these:

These black python print studded flats from Givenchy will surely come in handy on those days I just want to throw on cutoffs and a t-shirt, which will probably be most days this summer. Third trimester pregnancy and PA humidity are not a match made in heaven. I like how Givenchy strays away from just standard pyramid and cone studs and utilizes the little stars and bursts. If you're OD'd on black, these also come in a white version with tooled leather gores or a pinky-nude version, both with gold studs instead of silver.

It's been interesting to see how clogs have gone through a sudden metamorphosis from socially unacceptable to trendy as hell. The hideous clogs of olde are nothing like the stunning ones that have dominated the fashion market this season (or anything like Crocs, thank god). These Miu Miu halter clogs are made for airy gauze frocks and blue skinny jeans. I've always been a sucker for a wooden sole; luckily these have rubber on the bottom for at least a minimal amount of traction. If you're loving them but aren't a fan of blue, they also come in red or white satin and a brown suede version. Plus, what girl doesn't like to show off a cute pedicure during the warm seasons? Unless you have ugly feet, of course.

What kind of footwear do you guys plan on donning this summer?

BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

Some more photos from the tour ... I do not have the proper credits for the people who took these photos, so if they are yours please contact me and I will give you credit.

Final bow in Chicago w/ Bruce Franklin of Trouble

My husband with Bruce

Laying on the floor (looks like Chicago)

With Victor Griffin (Place of Skulls) in Atlanta

This photo is from when we got married. It was just the two of us and the preacher took pretty awful photos, but we love them anyway. I wear: Miu Miu dress, vintage belt, Chloe Boots, American Apparel thigh-highs. He wears: Junya Watanabe denim patchwork blazer, vintage button-up, vintage pants, his own boots.

More soon! xo
