SHOES FOUR SAIL

It's that time of year where I purge some things I haven't worn in several months .. I hate doing this on here, but I hate dealing with eBay even more, so here you have it:

Phi OTK brown platform boots - size 38 - Worn 1x. - $500 (I had originally offered these for cheaper -- due to a ton of people emailing me after my Twitter post and a very confusing bidding war via email, I am now selling these for the highest offer I received thru email .. had no idea they were so coveted!)

Chloe doc tall platform wedge boots, red leather - size 38.5, will fit a 38 or 37.5 (run about 1/2 size small) - moderate wear, these need a minor repair from a cobbler, one of the soles needs a little glue (not sure who to credit the photo collage to -- lmk if you're the owner). - $300 SOLD

Marni platforms, white leather w/ colored stones - size 38, will also fit a 38.5 - worn 1x - $125

Email me at halcoholic@gmail.com if interested. PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING. Please email for a total w/ shipping included. I will ship overseas.

Thanks for looking! &hearts

SUBURBAN HOME

I love fashion, but I do not consider it a significant part of who I am. I would say what makes me who I am is the unconditional, fierce love I feel for those who are most important to me. I have always been a homebody. I am home when I am with the people I adore the most in this world. The things surrounding me in this dwelling -- the little belongings I see and experience on a daily basis -- are a reminder of the life I have now and what I've gone through to get here: a pair of shoes I was wearing when my husband and I realized we were going to be parents, an old Norwegian knick-knack my mother gave me when I moved into my first apartment, a plush animal I slept with as a child that now sits in my son's crib. I never pictured my life this way ten or even two years ago. I am not sure what I did to deserve the special people with whom I get to share my days, but I try not to ask questions. Life is too short to not cherish and enjoy what matters most to you, whatever that may be.

MOTO MOHAIR

Sweater by Topshop, moto booties by Proenza Schouler, leather bag by Jas M.B., stag pendant courtesy of L.S.D., scythe ring by Gareth Pugh, ghetto acrylic nails by local nail salon.

Wow guys, I've been such a shitty blogger. I've been terribly preoccupied with this hunky guy:

... as well as other fun IRL stuff. My hair is so ridiculously long now. I kind of shift between wanting to trim it, to challenging myself to see how long it can actually get before I can start wearing it as a belt. I'm really not too distanced from this goal ..

What I do have for you is the winner of the Sparkover ring giveaway:

angelah.1980@gmail.com

Congrats! Sparkover will be getting in touch with you soon. I was really perplexed at the abundance of email entries for (yet again) this giveaway .. I got about an equal number of those as I did proper entries. Why does this happen to me? Dudes, the email entries do not count!

I promise I will be posting again sooner than the next 3 weeks .. let's set a date for this weekend, k? &hearts

CHRONIC GENERATION; SPARKOVER GIVEAWAY

- DIY studded vest
- Fiorentini & Baker 7040 boots
- Ray-Ban glasses
- Margiela powder-coated brass "diamond" cuff & ring
- Pamela Love cross ring
- repurposed circuit board jewelry (earring, necklace, ring) courtesy of Sparkover

I've resurrected some old school stylings lately, as they're the easiest to wear, fall asleep in, and wear again the next day -- perfect for baby duty. The vest is a neverending work in progress and I did not do the stud work; my dear friend Josh studded it little by little for a good year or so. It is denim painted with black acrylic that ended up looking sort of like cracked leather. Surprisingly, it's very lightweight and comfortable. Not sure how many studs are on this. I've had the boots forever.

I have been loving my Sparkover pieces lately -- whenever I wear these out, I'm constantly asked about them (I've given out a ton of Sparkover cards since I received these designs). I'm really excited to be able to host this giveaway, as Jaci has been generous enough to offer one of her circuit board rings to one of my lucky readers:

I have the same ring, which is high-quality sterling silver and has a nice, thick adjustable band. All of the little details of the circuit board make for such a unique design.

Here are the rules:

1) Subscribe to Halcoholic with either Bloglovin' or Google friend connect
2) After browsing the Sparkover etsy shop, comment to this post with your email address and your favorite piece from the shop.

The giveaway will run until Friday, October 29 and will end on that day at 11PM Eastern time. The winner will be chosen using Random.org and announced Monday, November 1st. This giveaway is open to all readers, but please do not try to enter via email -- your entry will not count.

Good luck &hearts

SHOE FANTASIES, REPURPOSED CIRCUIT BOARDS, BABY FACE

Watch by La Mer. Shoes L to R: Versace and YSL from Net-a-Porter, Viktor and Rolf from La Garconne.

I'm into the purple/blue suede trend for this season. Though, I wouldn't turn my nose up at those black leather Viktor and Rolf boots.

Little Bobby

This weekend we are taking the baby to visit his Liebling grandparents. I have some pieces to share with you guys within the next few days, and a very cool giveaway courtesy of Sparkover. Check out the designs in the meantime, which are all made utilizing repurposed circuit board parts:

The artist was generous enough to send me 3 extremely awesome pieces that will be featured in my next post.

I also filmed a makeup tutorial due to lots of reader requests, but it turned out very hectic and disorganized (lol), so I might be filming another one. Maybe I'll just share the nutsy one anyway.

I'll be sure to snap some photos of our mini-trip this weekend and show you all how I deal with traveling/packing up with the little one. Hope the weekend treats you well! &hearts
